چکیده
Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae are known to have the ability process food loss and waste reduce weight of waste, by producing decomposition products that beneficial values. Food needs be reduced burden entering Final Disposal (TPA). Aim: The purpose this study was determine BSF quality results in processing Taman Sari District on a laboratory scale. Methodology Results: Distrisct is high dense populated area Total days bioconversion activity 12 days, giving back 1,000 grams municipal organic, containing according variation given repeatedly 1st, 5th, 8th for each sample code. amount 5 old (5-DOL) maggot used code 30 grams. Conclusion, significance, impact study: percentage reduction from 3 kg can reach 86% with average residue produced form 415.67 solid compost 221.7 prepupa. Bred prepupa will evolve into several stages: pupa, fly, egg, baby larvae, 5-DOL 57 its life cycle.

Review of Black Soldier Fly (Hermetia illucens) as Animal Feed and Human Food
Food futurists accept that sustainability-minded humanity will increasingly incorporate insects as alternative protein. The most studied and easily reared species are not necessarily the most sustainable, acceptable, or delicious. Here, we review the literature on the black soldier fly, Hermetia illucens, which is capable of efficiently converting a wide variety of organic materials, from food ...
متن کاملFrom organic waste to biodiesel: Black soldier fly, Hermetia illucens, makes it feasible
Biodiesel is a renewable and environmentally friendly liquid fuel. However, the feedstock, predominantly crop oil, is a limited and expensive food resource which prevents large scale application of biodiesel. Development of non-food feedstocks are therefore, needed to fully utilize biodiesel’s potential. In this study, the larvae of a high fat containing insect, black soldier fly (Hermetia illu...
متن کاملReducing Food Loss And Waste While Improving The Public's Health.
An estimated 30 percent of the global food supply is lost or wasted, as is about 40 percent of the US food supply. There are valuable synergies between efforts to reduce food loss and waste and those promoting public health. To demonstrate the potential impact of building upon these synergies, we present an analysis of policies and interventions addressing food loss and waste, food security, fo...
متن کاملSustainability Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Of Household Food Waste Management in Urban Areas
Background: Food waste is a very serious problem, it is proven that Indonesia is the second largest producer of food waste in the world. A limited waste management system will result in a decrease in environmental quality such as air pollution, water pollution, and soil pollution. So far, the waste management system is only limited to reducing waste generation. Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is a ...
